Storage Condos

Let me let you in on the latest craze... Storage Condos!

Yes, that's right storage condos, or garage condos as they are sometimes called, are the newest and coolest trend I have run across lately. And of course Straight Up Real Estate Investing is just the place to come to get the scoop.

What are they?

Think of them like upscale, well-maintained supersized storage units. More like a warehouse space really. They have a multitude of uses and can be used by a variety of businesses and people.

Just like everything else lately, bigger seems to be better, and when it comes to storage, that's no exception.

Who couldn't use extra space to store stuff? Seems like no matter how big our homes, we never have enough space. These units solve that problem.

These spaces are also sometimes referred to as garage condos, warehouse condos, or storage condominiums. They have many uses such as:

  • Small workshops
  • Art Studios
  • Boat or RV storage
  • Business warehouses
  • Personal Space
  • And More!
Here's the bottom line- with these units people are getting two key things... Storage and Ownership.

A business could rent a storage unit, but what if they are needing an additional space with amenities such as electric and water. That's where garage condos come in!

A person may live in a neighborhood that has restrictions on parking boats or RVs outside. Yes, they could rent one of those outside spots where it will be exposed to the outside elements or worse yet- vandalized, but a garage condo would be better!

Some men dream of owning a workshop of their own, but they don't have the space at their house. Or perhaps it's that their wives won't let them build onto the garage, or maybe they live in an apartment so space is at a premium. So a storage unit works great! They can set up shop and still keep their garage and basement neat and tidy.

I could go on and on about how versatile these units are. The point is that people can own their space instead of renting. It's a trend that is catching on in a lot of metropolitan areas. And with space always at a premium, this trend won't be going away anytime soon.

Here's an awesome site for a company called www.inside-storage-shop-condos.com who builds warehouse condos. You can get further information from them and they would even be the perfect company to contact if you want to develop one of these trendy storage buildings as an investment opportunity.
